GTM 10 FM TRAFFIC RECEIVER If getting stuck in traffic is not your idea of fun, this is the technology for you! Compatible with Garmin StreetPilot navigation systems: c340, 2720, 7200 alternative music band and 7500 Provides real-time Traffic Message Channel (TMC) data—prompt, accurate notification of accidents, road construction, police, or emergency action, etc.—so drivers can monitor traffic flow and, if necessary, select an alternate route This small FM-band traffic receiver connects with one's car radio/antenna system to provide TMC data to compatible Garmin GPS navigation products (which then depict alternative music band and identify problem areas on their moving-map displays). Broadcasts are received via a "silent" FM data channel—which means that drivers can still listen to music or news programming on their car radios, without interference from the incoming FM traffic data transmissions. Comes preloaded with a 15-month trial subscription to Clear Channel TMC, to continue the service after that period customers will need to subscribe.
